  Configuring Outlook Express (PC Version)

OE5 Mail Account Setup Wizard

     

  • Open Outlook Express
  • Select "Tools."
  • Select "Accounts."
  • Select the "Mail" Tab
  • Click the "Add" button.
  • Enter your name in the "Display name" field.

Note: The display name is the name that people will see when they receive a mail from you. The name does not have to match the e-mail username.

  • Click the "Next" button.

     

  • Select "I already have an email address that i'd like to use."
  • Enter your full e-mail address in the "E-mail address" box.
  • Click the "Next" button

     

  • In the section for "My incoming mail server..." select POP3.
  • Your mail server address will be choosemail.net.

     

  • Your "Account Name" would be all of your email address
  • Enter your password into the "Password" box.
  • Put a check in the "Remember" password box.
  • Click the "Next" button.

     

  • Click the "Finish" button.

     

  • You must Set the outgoing mail server Authintication
  • Tools, Accounts, Select the Mail tab and click Properties
  • Select My server requires authentication
  • Click the settings button

     

  • Make sure that the Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
